Artist CV

Jazmin Erice

Jazmin Erice is a Manila-born visual artist based in the unceded territories of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations (Vancouver, BC).   Jazmin frequently repurposes materials to explore the possibilities of abstraction and re-imagination through sculptures, installations, and paintings.  She is in continual examination of the foundation of her belief systems that form her identity. In 2021, she cofounded the Filipino Students Association at SFU to unite different diasporic identities in a shared community. This strong sense of belonging and connectedness to culture is a recurring anchor of her artistic practice, and where she finds her artworks converge.  She holds a BFA from Simon Fraser University.
